AgID maintains and regularly updates a list of open formats that can be used by public administrations. These formats are digital data whose syntax, semantics, operational context and methods of use are made public through documentation. Furthermore, the XBRL standard, the editable electronic format for presenting financial statements, was also introduced.

The Agency for Digital Italy implements the objectives of the Italian Digital Agenda in accordance with the guidelines set by the Prime Minister or the competent Minister.
