The media policy outlines the behavioural rules of conduct that users must follow in the spaces managed by AGID and specifies the expected content and methods of interaction. The Agency for Digital Italy (hereinafter the Agency or AGID) uses its website and social media to inform and communicate with users via the Internet. The website and social media channels are managed by the Agency's Communication and External Relations Office, which may rely upon external collaborators and consultants.
Our Content
The content published on the website and social media channels is intended to inform public administrations, citizens, and businesses about the activities, projects, initiatives, and events promoted by AgID, and to facilitate their dissemination. Social media channels are also used for participation through engagement and dialogue, with a view to transparency and sharing.
The staff produces original content in textual, photographic, infographic, video formats, etc., which can be used under the CC-BY 4.0 License available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode.it .
Through the Agency's channels, content and messages of public interest and utility created by third parties (institutions, associations, businesses, media, citizens) can also be shared, subject to verification of the reliability of the source.
Regarding the regulation on general citizen access (commonly known as FOIA), the staff promotes and strengthens the collaborative dialogue with user communities on social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), in accordance with the guidelines of Circular 2/2017 from the Department of Public Administration. The presence of advertising spaces next to the content published on the social network pages used by AgID is not under the control of the Agency but is managed independently by the administrators of each social network.
AgID does not promote or share:
- content on topics that are subject to litigation or statements that could be used against the Agency;
- confidential or privileged information, such as internal correspondence, third party information about content, documents, projects that have not yet been made public, or related to ongoing proceedings.
- personal or sensitive information.
Moderation and Netiquette
The social channels of AgID are constantly and systematically moderated. AgID is committed to managing spaces for communication and dialogue within its social media profiles and asks its users to respect a few simple rules of netiquette.
-
Everyone is asked to express their opinions with fairness and moderation, while trying to base them as much as possible on verifiable facts and respecting the ideas of others.
-
On social networks, everyone is responsible for the content they publish and the opinions they express. However, insults, vulgarity, abuse, threats, and generally violent behaviour will not be tolerated.
-
Published content must always respect people's privacy. References to irrelevant facts or details that invade the privacy of others should be avoided.
-
An essential requirement for topics on the Agency's social channels is public interest. These spaces cannot be used to discuss personal cases, except for the Facebook group "SPID", which is dedicated to public discussion - in a respectful and constructive manner - and user support.
-
The relevance of the topics to the objectives of AgID is an essential requirement: these spaces cannot be used for purposes other than the institutional objectives of the Agency.
-
Each discussion is linked to a specific topic: we ask all participants to respect this and to avoid widening the discussion in a general and indiscriminate way.
-
No form of advertising, spam, or promotion of private interests or illegal activities will be tolerated.
-
Content that violates copyright or involves the unauthorised use of registered trademarks is not allowed.
In any case, any post, comment, or audio/video material that meets the following criteria will be removed by the staff:
-
Political or propaganda content;
