New features include the possibility of continuing to use the card even after the expiry of the integrated microchip certificate for the purposes of employee recognition and authentication. For the submission of comments or proposals, the deadline is 7 December 2024.

Until 16 September 2024, citizens, public administrations, businesses and stakeholders can submit their contributions and suggestions.
