The 2025 update of the Three-Year Plan for Information Technology in Public Administration 2024 - 2026 has been published, with new elements in line with changing scenarios and legislation.

The Plan is a fundamental tool for driving the digital transformation of the Italian Public Administration. In a rapidly changing socio-economic context, information technology and new technologies play a strategic role, requiring careful planning in the public sector.

In particular, the 2024-2026 Three-Year Plan differs from previous editions in the way it has been developed, involving public administrations on the one hand, and subsequent discussion with universities, the research world and the private sector on the other, in order to ensure a diversified approach and a comprehensive vision in its development.

2025 Update

The 2025 update of the 2024-2026 Plan maintains the same objectives and targets, with some reformulation to adapt to new regulations. The Plan is a work in progress, and the annual updates are a tool for constant support and strategic orientation.

In line with what was already proposed in the 2024-2026 Plan, one of the main new features of the 2025 update is Section III - Tools. It consists of 16 operational tools, with as many descriptive sheets that administrations can use as a reference, support models, examples of good practice and checklists for planning their own interventions.

The tool templates are also available in a new section of the new AgID institutional website dedicated to the Three-Year Plan.
