Starting from October 7, 2024, companies that produce or distribute assistive technologies can submit expressions of interest regarding the free loan of assistive technologies to be used in the Accessibility Laboratory AgID is setting up at its headquarters.
The laboratory will conduct practical demonstrations, accessibility testing, and training sessions focused on assistive technologies, which AgID will promote through its official channels.
How to participate
To respond to the expression of interest, it is necessary to complete the Participation Form and send it to protocollo@pec.agid.gov.it, along with a technical description detailing the assistive technologies each manufacturer/distributor intends to provide to AgID.
Applications can be submitted within 60 days of the call being published.
The Accessibility Laboratory
Through the setup of the Accessibility Laboratory, AgID aims to:
Utilize assistive technologies in demonstrations, outreach, and training activities related to digital accessibility.
Enable specialized personnel to conduct in-depth accessibility assessments on websites, mobile applications, and digital documents.
Analyze the characteristics, integration capacity, and adaptability of assistive technologies in work environments.
Support the 55 Public Administrations acting as Sub-Implementing Bodies of Measure 1.4.2 of the PNRR in selecting assistive technologies for their employees with disabilities, in their use, and related training activities.
The Laboratory is part of the various activities that the Agency is carrying out as the Implementing Body of Measure 1.4.2 of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) "Citizen Inclusion," aimed at improving the accessibility of digital public services for all citizens.
