Agid presented the AI Task Force and the White Paper on Artificial Intelligence at the SEMIC 2018 Conference on semantic interoperability.
The Conference SEMIC, which took place in Sofia on 14 June 2018, is organised by the ISA² Programme of the European Commission in collaboration with the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
During the conference, Agid illustrated the work carried out by the AI Task Force on the main challenges and opportunities connected to the use of solutions in the public sector.
The Agency also presented the White Paper on Artificial Intelligence, which provides information on how to facilitate the introduction of AI technologies in the Public Administration in order to improve the relationship between public administrations and citizens.
Agid plays a leading role in this field at the international level. Since January 2018 the Agency has been coordinating the OECD Thematic Group on Emerging Technologies (AI and Blockchain), working on the draft of the OECD Guidelines on the use of emerging technologies in the public sector.
