Prende il via il percorso attuativo del regolamento comunitario eIDAS che consente all’Italia la notifica del Sistema Pubblico di Identità Digitale (SPID) a livello europeo per il riconoscimento dell’identità digitale come strumento di accesso a tutti i servizi digitali delle pubbliche amministrazioni degli Stati membri.
Durante l’ottavo Cooperation Network Meeting - che si tiene oggi, 11 dicembre 2017 dalle 10 alle 17 presso la DG Connect della Commissione Europea - AgID presenta ai rappresentanti degli stati membri il progetto SPID, avviando ufficialmente il processo di “peer reviewing” che precede l’ufficializzazione della notifica italiana.
Al termine del percorso di confronto tecnico con gli altri Stati, la Commissione pubblicherà lo schema nella Gazzetta Ufficiale Europea in modo da consentire - entro i successivi 12 mesi - l’adeguamento dei sistemi di tutti gli Stati dell’Unione che permetteranno l’accesso tramite SPID ai propri servizi digitali.

After Germany, Italy is the second European country on the path toward the European interoperability of its national system for public identity and the first EU country to pre-notify of a system led by private sector. In this way, SPID will become an European digital identity.
In this way, SPID will become a European digital identity. The implementation phase of the eIDAS Regulation has started. The Regulation allows Italy the notification of the Public System for Digital Identity (SPID) for the recognition of digital identity as a means to access public services provided by other Member States.
During the eighth Cooperation Network Meeting – to be held at the European Commission DG Connect on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m. – AgID will present the project SPID to the representatives of EU Member States, thus officially starting the peer review process before the actual formalization of the Italian notification.
Once the review with other Member States is completed, the European Commission will publish the scheme on the Official Journal of the EU so as to allow - at the latest 12 months after publication - other EU Member States to adjust their systems in order to grant access to their public services through SPID.
